Fleetworthy unveils Accident Tracking to improve fleet risk visibility
Key takeaways
- Accident Tracking centralizes DOT and non-DOT incidents into one system, linking each event to drivers, vehicles, and compliance records for full visibility.
- The standardized workflow captures consistent data and stores photos, reports, and documentation in a searchable, audit-ready format across teams.
- Fleets can evaluate preventability, identify incident trends, and strengthen safety programs using structured data instead of fragmented tracking methods.
Fleetworthy recently added Accident Tracking to its Safety and Compliance solution. The company, which provides a technology suite for fleet readiness, designed the capability to centralize accident data in a standardized workflow that links each incident to drivers, vehicles, and compliance records.
The system captures both DOT-reportable and non-DOT incidents, enabling fleets to evaluate preventability, identify trends, and manage risk with consistent documentation across locations and teams. Accident Tracking preserves compliance context at the time of each incident and stores supporting materials such as photos and reports in a searchable, audit-ready format while also supporting structured internal reviews and policy improvements.
By consolidating records into a single source of truth, the capability helps fleets reduce reliance on fragmented tools and improve visibility into safety performance, claims preparation, and audit readiness.
“Incomplete data limits a safety team’s ability to answer critical questions about why accidents happen and what needs to change,” said David Long, Fleetworthy VP of product. “Without a consistent framework for preventability, fleets are left reacting instead of improving. Accident Tracking changes that by turning every accident, DOT and non-DOT, into structured, defensible safety data that supports coaching, policy improvement, and proactive risk management.”
