- Cargo theft insights help drivers and fleets make more informed routing decisions to reduce exposure risk.
Trucker Path has added Verisk CargoNet data into its navigation platform to help drivers identify high-risk cargo theft areas. The company, which provides a commercial navigation and fleet management platform for truck drivers, said the integration delivers cargo theft trend data to support more informed routing decisions.
The system introduces a cargo theft cloud overlay that highlights higher-risk areas directly within the app. It provides drivers with theft risk ratings by county, a monthly update of the total number of stolen vehicle, and insights into common theft locations.
Additional features include visibility into most-stolen commodity categories and theft subtypes, along with filtering tools that allow users to focus on high, medium, or low-risk areas.
"Cargo security continues to be a growing concern for fleets and drivers," Chris Oliver, CMO at Trucker Path, stated. "By incorporating a Verisk CargoNet theft cloud overlay in Trucker Path, drivers will instantly know when they're in high theft areas. That level of heightened awareness will lead to proactive deterrence."
