Aljex integrates software with FourKites

Feb. 25, 2015

Aljex Software and FourKites have announced a partnership that improves the ability of freight brokers and shippers to access truck locations and status with real-time data.

Information-rich carrier tracking from FourKites is now integrated into the hosted transportation management software from Aljex. Aljex customers can now access much of the same real-time truck locations and ETAs as carriers themselves, without leaving the Aljex system, the company said.

“Integration with FourKites puts the services of the industry’s largest telematics and mobile communications providers to work for Aljex customers,” said CEO Tom Heine. “We look forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship with FourKites.”

FourKites leverages its relationships with leading telematics providers, including Omnitracs and PeopleNet, for its tracking data.

With these agreements in place, FourKites only requires authorization from the individual carrier to make the carrier’s tracking information available to brokers in real time, Aljex explained. That information includes pickup confirmation, geo-fencing data, real-time locations, and ETAs. For Aljex users, FourKites information is quickly and seamlessly available on Aljex screens.

“The most successful and efficient truck fleets in North America are equipped with installed telematics systems that provide end-to-end tracking, alerts, and confirmations not available from other sources,”

said FourKites founder Mathew Joseph Elenjickal. “Aljex customers will be pleased with the competitive advantage they derive from the valuable information FourKites can give them.”
