Logistics technology provider K. Hartwall has unveiled its new autonomous mobile robot (AMR), the A-Mate Counter for pallet and lattice box lifting, according to a press release.
The battery-powered A-Mate Counter can carry payloads of over one ton and has a lift height of one meter (39.5 inches). It is able to operate autonomously in warehouses and distribution centers, interacting with both other AMRs and manual traffic. A touch screen is installed for adjusting settings. It has the option of operating 24/7 due to the automatic interim charging of its lithium-ion batteries, the company stated.

“We are very excited to launch our new mobile robot, the A-Mate Counter,” said Eero Heinonen, EVP at K. Hartwall. “The A-MATE Counter is a next generation AMR that enables efficient handling of pallets in very narrow environments and allows the customer to adjust both layout and processes themselves.”
The A-Mate Counter’s safety features include clear light indicators, emergency stop buttons, emergency brakes, detection sensors and emergency stop switches in the fork tips, and 360-degree sensors.
Visitors will be able to see the A-Mate Counter March 20-23 in Chicago at the ProMat Show, which features over 1,000 supply chain solution providers, at booth #N6945. At ProMat, K. Hartwall will also host a seminar on robotics featuring the A-Mate.
