• FMCSA removes 10 ELDs from registered list

10 more ELDs are removed from FMCSA's registered list after failing to meet the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations' requirements.
    Dec. 4, 2023

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has removed 10 ELDs from its list of registered electronic logging devices due to the providers’ failure to meet the minimum requirements outlined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. The revoked ELDs are:

    • CI ELD LOGS
    • ELD 2 GO
    • ELD4TRUCKING
    • ELOG365
    • GOLDEN ELD
    • POWERTRUCKS ELD
    • STEER RIGHT ELD
    • TruckX-ELD
    • TST 1 ELD
    • WORLD TRUCKING ELD

Motor carriers and drivers using these ELDs have 60 days to replace them with compliant ELDs, according to FMCSA. Meanwhile, they should discontinue use and revert to paper logs or logging software to record required hours of service data.

The ELDs are the latest revoked since a spate of removals earlier this year. If the ELD providers correct all identified device deficiencies, FMCSA will place the ELDs back on the list and inform the industry. But until then, motor carriers should follow the above instructions to avoid compliance issues.
