The American Trucking Assns. (ATA) has endorsed Vigillo LLC’s Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010 Scorecard as “an effective program to help large and small trucking companies manage their responsibilities under the current CSA 2010 regulations.”
The Scorecard, Vigillo noted, draws from the same carrier and driver data sources as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
According to Vigillo, the Scorecard applies the same methodologies currently used by FMCSA to calculate carriers’ CSA 2010 Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories (BASIC) Measures and Percentile in nine pilot states.
The Scorecard also allows carriers an advanced look at their drivers’ safety record and the impact of those records on the carriers’ Fitness Score under CSA 2010. The Vigillo CSA 2010 Scorecard acts as both a Carrier Scorecard and a Driver Scorecard. The CSA 2010 initiative is slated to replace the FMCSA’s existing SafeStat program this summer.
