Nissan North America is releasing a smartphone application designed to allow owners of its new all-electric Leaf sedan to remotely check the vehicle’s battery charge status, available range, even begin the recharging process.
This new app is available to anyone with a Nissan Leaf and an active Carwings subscription, noted Trisha Jung, director of vehicle connected cervices for Nissan North America, allowing owners to access critical information points such as:
Check the state of the battery charge
Begin charging
Check when battery charge is complete
See estimated driving range
Turn the climate control system on or off
