TMW Systems has reached agreement with SkyBitz to offer SkyBitz asset-management capabilities and data in its TMWSuite management solution.
The agreement allows customers of both companies to centrally monitor and track trailers in TMWSuite in real-time to manage trailer utilization and location. The solution will also utilize SkyBitz’ cargo sensor information which notifies dispatchers of cargo status such as whether it is in the trailer or has been unloaded, if the trailer door is open, and whether the trailer is in motion.
“This move will help simplify and streamline processes for dispatchers and planners managing fleets,” said Siamak Azmoudeh, vice president, channel sales and client support, SkyBitz. “Our goal is to offer customers innovative and efficient solutions for their unique transportation asset management needs.”
The product is expected to be available in the first half of 2012, SkyBitz said.
