Accellos has reorganized the company into business units and, related to that, has named Bill Ashburn gm of its new Transportation business unit. The firm’s new business units are: Transportation, WMS, Third Party Logistics and Supply Chain Execution.

“Our growth has been impressive and we felt it was time to invest even more in our customer experience,” said Ashburn. “The move to business units allows us to focus an entire team on the needs of our transportation customers to create partnerships that will result in long-term value for everyone.”

Ashburn was most recently vp & gm of Accellos’ Prophesy Series line. He joined Accellos in 2008 when the company acquired Prophesy Transportation Solutions, which Ashburn had co-founded in 1986.

“We are proud to name Bill Ashburn gm of our new transportation business unit,” said Mike Cornell, Accellos CEO. “Our existing customers and some 400 new customers joining us each year expect consistently valuable and innovative solutions, and Bill Ashburn’s extensive experience in developing software for every aspect of transportation gives him the insight that makes this possible.”
