CRST Van Expedited has installed Pegasus TransTech’s Express Indexing and Transflo Express truckstop scanning solution.

Express Indexing speeds the routing process of incoming electronic documents by identifying and indexing document images so they can be routed to the correct department, such as billing, payroll or safety. The software can handle proof-of-delivery, bills of lading, expense receipts, logs, accident reports and more.

“CRST looked to reduce costs and processing delays associated with outsourcing indexing tasks,” said Scott Szymanek, vp of financial planning at CRST. “Express Indexing allows CRST to speed the flow of documents throughout our organization more cost efficiently.”

The company also has implemented Transflo Express, which allows drivers to hand documents over to a trained representative at any of over 500 truckstops nationwide. The documents will be scanned and transmitted instantly to the back office, allowing for quicker processing and billing.

CRST, based in Cedar Rapids, IA, is among the 30 largest carriers in the U.S. Its Van Expedited group employs 3,400 company drivers and independent contractors with a fleet of 1,600 total power units and 3,300 trailers.
