Refrigerated truckload carrier C.R. England has purchased TMWSuite and TMT Fleet Maintenance software from TMW Systems. The software packages will be incorporated in England’s national, Mexico, dedicated, regional and intermodal operating divisions.

C.R. England has run a customized solution based on the IBM I (AS/400) operating system since the late 1980s. The company made the decision to switch its 3,600-truck fleet over to a Windows-based platform to provide flexibility for the future.

“We’ve benefited for years from the reliability and flexibility of our AS/400 system, but felt it was the right time for us to move to a Windows platform, in order to meet future growth and development goals,” said Chad England, president of C.R. England North America.

The AS/400 system was originally purchased through Innovative Computing Corp. TMW purchased Innovative late last year.
