A webinar sponsored by six state trucking associations will present case studies from fleets that participated in pilot implementation of the new CSA 2010 safety screening program. The online event will be held on Sept. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. (CST).

Executives from seven carriers will cover why they were selected for an intervention, what type they experienced, changes they have made in their operations in response to the intervention, and their experience with shippers and brokers under this new framework. A one-hour question and answer session will follow, according to the webinar organizers.

The fleet presenters will be: Scott Anderson, ATS Specialized, St. Cloud, MN; Sam Anderson, Bay & Bay Transport, Rosemount, MN; Jack Curry, American Central Transport, Liberty, MO; Sherwin Fast, Great Plains Trucking, Salina, KS; Phil Hinshaw, Sammons Trucking, Missoula, MT; Richard Jenkins, Brown Trucking Co., Lithonia, GA, and Donna Underwood, Steelman Transportation, Springfield, MO.

“Motor carriers in CSA 2010 pilot states have a unique perspective,” said Minnesota Trucking Assn. president John Hausladen. “They know what this new enforcement program is like, both on the roadside and how it plays out during compliance reviews. Motor carriers in the remaining states are hungry to gain this knowledge before their state goes live with the program. Carriers like to hear from their peers and this webinar offers just that.”

In addition to the Minnesota association, co-sponsors for the webinar include the Georgia Motor Trucking Assn., Kansas Motor Carriers Assn., Missouri Trucking Assn., Motor Carriers of Montana and New Jersey Motor Truck Assn.

Registration is $125 for members of a state trucking association and $225 for non-members.
