New updates from GPS Insight provide ways trucking fleets can historically define and report on multiple types of fleet organizational structures, including vehicles, users, drivers and landmarks within GPS Insight.

The hierarchy capabilities and rollup reporting module reduce administrative work involved for large rollouts and improves historical accuracy of division or function-wide reporting, the company said. The hierarchies, which groups vehicles, offer “rollup reporting” as well as simple “cross section” reporting like determining miles driven, speeding events or total idling time for vehicles.

This update is a step towards GPS Insight’s upcoming Executive Dashboard, which will allow fleets to define and monitor exact vehicle utilization metrics important to them, the company noted.
