Trailer-tracking system maker Terion is launching a new version of its FleetView product, compatible with Carrier-brand trailer refrigeration units. Terion now offers a solution that monitors both Carrier and Thermo King reefers.

Carrier’s trailer tracking communication interface integrates with FleetView 3R to create a solution that tracks reefer operation and performance. It also comes with a standard complement of trailer management features.

“Now refrigerated carriers have the ability to monitor the performance of their reefer fleet, even if they have mixed fleets with both Carrier and Thermo King reefers,” said Ken Cranston, Terion’s president & CEO.

He said some of the new features Terion helped create for Carrier reefer units include:

  • Reefer temperature and set points are recorded with all event data and reported via digital wireless data connection to Terion’s web-based trailer fleet management tool
  • Up to 16 active fault codes are reported with each event
  • Temperature logs are stored and transmitted if necessary to validate temperature history
Unacceptable temperature variances, fuel shortages, low battery levels, and hundreds of reefer fault codes of varying priority are monitored
