Citing the help it will provide its drivers operating from its southernmost terminals, flatbed hauler PI&I has installed the Transflo Express truckstop scanning solution from Pegasus TransTech.

PI&I has 700 trucks and operates in the central U.S. from eight terminals in six states.

“The guys who don't get to a terminal on a regular basis will still be able to send in their paperwork,” Jeff Jenkins, driver manager, said. Drivers, about 50% of whom are owner-operators, who must wait until they reach a terminal sometimes find their pay late.

The Ohio-based carrier expects improved driver satisfaction and speedier billing as a result of the program.

Transflo Express speeds the process of billing by allowing drivers to simply hand delivery documents to a trained fuel desk attendant, who will scan and send those documents electronically to the fleet or broker for immediate billing and processing.
