Any Internet connection including satellite, cellular, WiFi or landline can be used to send and receive faxes with a new service from SkyMira LLC.

Unlike email-to-fax services that require document scanning, Sky-Fax gives drivers a traditional fax machine that lets them simply dial a phone number and fax if they have an Internet connection, according to SkyMira. The system also includes store-and-forward capability for out-of-coverage conditions.

SkyMira says it also offers truck fleets and independent drivers email, text messaging, GPS tracking and PDF forms services.
