LeanLogistics has announced that Nebraska-based Millard Refrigerated Services, the second largest refrigerated warehouse and distribution company in the U.S., has selected its On Demand Transportation Network

LeanLogistics (www.leanlogistics.com) has announced that Nebraska-based Millard Refrigerated Services, the second largest refrigerated warehouse and distribution company in the U.S., has selected its On Demand Transportation Network. Millard operates 9 million sq ft of refrigerated warehouse, distribution, and processing space in 35 locations throughout the country.

According to LeanLogistics, many of Millard's current customers already use LeanLogistics' On-Demand TMS. The commonality improves communications among carriers and customers and enables consolidation of LTL shipments for improved efficiency.

LeanLogistics' On-Demand TMS is designed to provide complete daily planning, execution, and settlement, along with increased visibility to pickup and drop data. Event notifications also help assure that customers and carriers are aware of schedules, requirements, and status. With the business intelligence functions built into On-Demand TMS, noted LeanLogistics, Millard will have the ability to mine shipment history and analyze carrier performance.

"Many of our customers currently use the LeanLogistics On Demand Transportation Network and are pleased with the solution. We see this as a great tool for consolidating shipments and improving communications."
