Cat offers tracking
A remote asset tracking system for construction and mining equipment is now available on an aftermarket basis from Caterpillar Inc. Developed by CSI Wireless Inc., the Product Link PL102C offers remote access to engine hours, location, movement and other operational information.
The tracking unit includes a GPS receiver for accurately determining position. It transmits collected data over the Aeris.net MicroBurst network which uses existing cellular infrastructures.
