Canadian-based Van Kam Freightways has installed Xata Corp’s Xata Speed Management Solution in its fleet. Van Kam provides less-than-truckload and truckload services as well as special commodity contracts within British Columbia and Alberta and offers regular service to Eastern Canada and the continental U.S.
Xata Speed Management monitors driver speeding patterns and analyzes unsafe driver behaviors, according to Xata. The system is powered by SpeedGauge and provides speed-by-road exception reports that detail the vehicle’s speed vs. posted speed limits. It alsogives real-time visibility to a vehicle’s speed.
Speed Management is integrated with the XataNet solution.
