PacLease upgrades telematics interface

Paccar Leasing Company (PacLease) has released the PacTrac Blu, an upgrade to its PacTrac telematics systems. According to the company, the PacTrac Blu is a 7-inch, full-color display interface with audio and video capability.

"We are excited about the release of Blu for our customers who seek additional functionality," said Bob Southern, PacLease president. "Upgrading to Blu will provide a better platform to support an increase of applications that improve the in-cab experience for the driver."

The Blu system will use GPS technology in the near future to give spoken, turn-by-turn directions as well as support text-to-speech applications, the company said.
