Spal has released a new electric cooling fan aimed at improving airflow in high static pressure situations in on- and off-highway heavy-duty vehicles, trucks and buses.
"What's critical to understand is that our fans hold their airflow rating in very high static pressure," said Terry Dolberg, sales & marketing manager, heavy-duty vehicles, Spal USA. "Zero static, or 'free air' readings have little value, so don't be fooled by huge cfm claims. The fan's ability to maintain its performance is the key."
The AP90 high output (H.O.) series features a new curved blade design, glass-filled nylon blades and sealed fan motors, the company said. The fans are currently available in 11”, 12” and 16” sizes, and Spal said it will introduce additional H.O. series fans later in 2008.
