DriverTech adds in-cab scanner features

ORLANDO. DriverTech, makers of the DT4000 TruckPC, a Windows XP-embedded onboard computing system, announced enhancements to their DTScan In-Cab Scanning solution at the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) Annual Convention here.

According to the company, the new features are designed to make it easier for drivers and fleets to manage documents. They can be included in all new applications of the DT4000 Truck PC system and will be provided to existing DTScan customers as part of their regular program updates.

The new features include:

  • Intelligent Document Transmission capabilities to enable fleets with Forms Recognition software to automatically identify and categorize document types and streamline document entry in office systems
  • A Driver Load Number Entry option
  • Date/Time Stamping to tell drivers when a document batch was scanned relative to an established cut-off time
  • Tap/Zoom/Drag functions plus an on-screen keyboard designed to make it easier to enter data
