Air-Weigh is now offering a new on-board weighing system designed for refuse trucks built with air or walking-beam drive suspensions.
Available in Air-Weigh’s LoadMaxx and QuickLoad product lines, these digital on-board scales feature a convenient in-dash display that shows GVW, net payload, steer axle and drive axle weights and can be installed on any refuse truck with an air drive suspension, Hendrickson Haulmaxx or HN462 drive suspension.
Air-Weigh said its refuse vehicle scales provide critical axle and GVW weight information in a more cost-effective package than existing load cell systems, including programmable alarms to indicate warning and overweight conditions.
In addition, deflection sensor technology allows for accurate weight measurement on steer and drive axles with mechanical suspensions and multiple digital data interfaces allow for better transmission of information to on-board computers, the company said.
