• Umphress named vp at Fleet Advantage

    Leasing and IT services company Fleet Advantage has appointed Daniel E. Umphress vp of fleet services. Based in the company’s Ft. Lauderdale, FL, headquarters, Umphress will be responsible for working with customers to develop vehicle specifications, cut fuel costs, improve vehicle utilization, increase warranty recovery and adopt environmentally friendly processes

    Leasing and IT services company Fleet Advantage has appointed Daniel E. Umphress vp of fleet services. Based in the company’s Ft. Lauderdale, FL, headquarters, Umphress will be responsible for working with customers to develop vehicle specifications, cut fuel costs, improve vehicle utilization, increase warranty recovery and adopt environmentally friendly processes.

    Umphress is the former managing director of vehicle solutions for FedEx Freight Systems and also served as vp, fleet maintenance for American Freightways. He is the immediate past chairman of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and a director-at-large on the board of directors of the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC).
