After seeing success with one of its dedicated fleets, supply chain solutions provider NFI has ordered an additional 350 Gemini Series GLS400 trailer tracking units from SkyBitz. The units will be put into service in a dedicated carriage fleet servicing high-value cargo accounts, NFI said.

“NFI first started using SkyBitz trailer tracking on one of our dedicated accounts to provide better customer service, security, and to get total visibility. After seeing the benefits from this trailer tracking solution, we saw the need for the technology and the added value it provided to our customers,” said Bill Bliem, VP of maintenance, NFI. “We decided to add more units to support another of our dedicated accounts.”

NFI, which also uses the SkyBitz InSight web service to view assets in real time, will use the GLS400 to see asset allocation, load visibility and to improve logistics and security.
