An onboard fleet management system for small and mid-sized field service, delivery and freight companies combines @Road hardware and software with the Nextel wireless communications network.

The new @Road Pathway iLM system is based on a vehicle-mounted device and a hosted application that provides nationwide tracking on demand, real-time notification when units near customer-defined landmarks, vehicle activity reports and other operating information that can be exported to any standard database or other application.

Using the Nextel network as its wireless link to vehicles, the new subscription-based service is being marketed through @Road's sales and distribution channels.
