Delhaize Group, an international food retailer with operations in six countries, has installed Xata Corp.’s (Nasdaq: XATA) XataNet fleet management software in its Delhaize America fleet.

The fleet delivers product to Food Lion, Hannaford and Sweetbay Banners food stores. Together, the fleet serves 1,500 stores in 16 Eastern states. It is running XataNet in all its 780 trucks.

Delhaize will use XataNet to track speed performance and driver behavior as well as to access driver and route and delivery information in real-time. In addition, the company will use Xata’s Fleet Performance Management (FPM) program, a planning, visualization and analytic tool.

By using the FPM, Delhaize will be able to implement fleet scorecards.
