CoPilot Live and CoPilot Truck navigation software from ALK Technologies can now be integrated with mobile solutions running on the Android platform. ALK has released an enterprise software developer kit (SDK) that allows for the integration.

“We are seeing increasing Android demand both in terms of end-customer requirements and channel partner solutions,” said Dan Popkin, vice president, CoPilot Division at ALK Technologies Inc. “The development of an API set and SDK enabling our enterprise solutions, CoPilot Live Professional and CoPilot Truck Professional, to be integrated with third party applications on the Android platform allows our partners to address this significant market opportunity now.”

The CoPilot Android SDK provides seamless 2-way communications to the navigation application, enabling fully automated destination entry, better visibility of mobile resources and improved customer service through accurate and monitored arrival times, ALK said.
