The new Quadrant 7.0 wireless fleet management system provides automated driver logs that meet Dept. of Transportation regulations, according to developer WebTech Wireless. Using vehicle inputs, it automatically changes driver duty status as well as electronically tracks hours of service.

The system also includes a trip recorder that captures second-by-second information on vehicle location and speed. When combined with vehicle inputs, it can tie that data to speeding, hard braking, idling and other vehicle performance parameters to help fleets determine driving patterns or to reconstruct events, according to WebTech.

Other features for Quadrant 7.0 include route geofencing to monitor driver adherence to pre-determined routes and calculate estimated arrival times.
