TruCosting, an application designed to help fleets quickly determine the profitability of rates and pricing, is now available as an option with McLeod Software's LoadMaster fleet management system.

Developed by TruCost Systems, the profitability application calculates route efficiency based on an individual truck's expenses, measuring variable expenses by the mile and allocating fixed expenses based on the time required to move the load. It can be used to examine pricing profitability and to compare the cost of company and contractor trucks.

Adding TruCosting will help fleets “make better-informed dispatch decisions and increase overall truck productivity,” according to TruCost co-founder Martin Labbe.
