Maptuit Corp. and GeoLogic Solutions today announced their partnership to offer Maptuit NaviGo, a navigation system that provides audible directions, over GeoLogic’s new color display unit (CDU).

“This announcement reinforces Maptuit’s strategy to create an improved driver experience by delivering our content on the leading multi-mode (satellite or cellular) on-board device with touch-screen operation and GPS capabilities,” said Jeff Papows, president & CEO of Maptuit.

The MapTuit NaviGo uses internal electronic maps to gauge the vehicle’s location and plot a course to a selected destination to provide drivers with audible truck-specific, real-time turn-by-turn directions, the companies said.

GeoLogic’s CDU is a Windows-based touch screen display that features a high-resolution graphical interface. The CDU was designed to be an open system that integrates with applications such as the MapTuit solution.

“We look forward to delivering this new mapping solution to our customers,” said John Lewis, president & CEO for GeoLogic Solutions.
