Wheels, Inc. has announced an enhancement to its expense variance tool that will allow fleet managers to more effectively monitor and control fuel costs

Wheels, Inc. has announced an enhancement to its expense variance tool that will allow fleet managers to more effectively monitor and control fuel costs, the company said. It is available in FleetView, Wheels’ online fleet management system.

According to the company, expense variance allows users to identify potential savings opportunities and understand how the changing price of fuel impacts the fleet’s fuel spending.

"While it may not be possible to predict the price of fuel, it's certainly feasible to accurately forecast many of the factors that influence total spend and as a result avoid unpleasant budget surprises," said Scott Edidin, Wheels senior account manager.
