SAN DIEGO. Pegasus TransTech has introduced a new Internet-based online document management system called Transflo Web to primarily help smaller fleets reduced their “delivery-to-cash” cycle so they can be paid sooner, while offering larger fleets an option to improve access and flexibility in managing driver documents.
“Relying on the mail to transmit proof of delivery forms and other documentation from drivers back to fleet operations can add a day or even 10 days to the time between when fleets deliver freight and then bill their customer,” Bob Helms, Pegasus’ chairman & CEO, explained at a press conference here at the 2011 Truckload Carriers Assn. Annual Convention.
“What Transflo Web does is allow drivers to digitally scan and send documents either from one of our scanners at over 800 truckstops nationwide or from a scanning device in their cab,” he explained. “This allows for far more rapid billing for fleets while reducing the reliance on piles of paper documents.”
Helms noted that, with a few clicks of the mouse, Transflo Web customers can instantly view and store delivery documents, create invoices, and print, save, or email them with supporting documents to any shipper or third party. Users also can receive and process driver logs and payroll information, he said.
The benefit for larger fleets is instant access to documents that can be tagged and emailed to any department for special projects or purposes – without the need for any special information technology (IT) coding or hosting project, Helms said.
The cost of the service is $4.99/week per unique user identification number for unlimited usage, the company noted.
