J.J. Keller, provider of the FleetMentor “online toolbox,” will be hosting a webcast series starting this fall designed to streamline management while improving the bottom line of motor carriers.

On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the company will host “Management Controls for Hours of Service. “ This program will detail what to look for, how to identify trends and creating procedures to stay in compliance with HOS regulations.

Ensuring drivers are qualified is a time-consuming, yet extremely important task. The Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, webcast, “Driver Qualification Open Forum,” will address this specific issue. This forum, in an open format with an extended question and answer session, will review DOT rules and cover the basics of driver qualification.

For fleets looking to lower insurance costs, the webcast on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 will help. Entitled “How to make yourself a low-risk carrier,” the focus will be on how your safety record identifies you as a carrier. It will look at current regulations and practices you can implement to improve your safety record.
