Swift Transportation has extended its agreement with Pegasus TransTech to continue utilizing the Transflo Express truck stop scanning service. The new deal runs through Dec. 31, 2014.

“Our focus is to provide best-in-class service to our customers and drivers,” said Ginnie Henkels, executive vice president & CFO at Swift. “We believe Transflo Express helps us efficiently streamline our customer billing and driver payroll processes to facilitate superior service.”

Swift has been using Transflo Express since 2009.

“We’re pleased to provide Swift with a service that positions them for improved efficiency and profit,” said Frank Adelman, Pegasus TransTech senior vice president.

Drivers using Transflo Express can simply hand over documents to a fuel attendant at one of more than 800 locations in the U.S. and Canada, including Pilot Flying J and Love’s Travel Centers. The attendant will scan the document and transmit to the billing office, expediting billing and payroll processes.

Swift operates 12,000 tractors with company drivers and contracts with 4,000 owner-operators as well, hauling a fleet of 49,000 trailers and 5,700 intermodal containers.
