Glacier Computer has announced the availability of the T507K, a 7-in. rugged tablet.

The device includes a sunlight-readable touchscreen, camera, RFID, and 2D barcode scanner. It also has 802.11 b/g/n and GOBI 3000 3G module for communications and is powered by an Intel Atom processor.

The 507K comes standard with Windows XP or Win 7.

“The T507K is a great option for applications that need a rugged portable tablet with a smaller display. The 7-in. display is a perfect compromise for customers requiring more than a phone but less than a notebook,” said Ron D’Ambrosio, CEO. “Businesses want rugged tablets that are durable and portable, but still affordable, and the T507K offers value, communication and data collection features in a rugged form factor.”
