Precision Plus, a comprehensive fleet management system developed by Penske Truck Leasing, integrates onboard computers, wireless satellite communications and web-access to the information over a secure Internet site.

The vehicle portion of the system uses XATA onboard computers to collect vehicle and driver performance data for a wide range of applications, including paperless drivers logs and fuel tax reporting. The data is transmitted wirelessly via the Orbcomm satellite network to Penske's data hub.

Fleets subscribing to the new management system access reports and other collected data over the Internet using the proprietary extranet site MyFleet@Penske. The new Precision Plus system is available for both new and existing Penske leasing customers with monthly rates that start at $55 per vehicle.
