PC*Miler 24 certified by, integrated with McLeod Software

BIRMINGHAM. ALK Technologies, makers of the PC*Miler software, announced here at thel McLeod Software Users’ Conference that its software has been certified and successfully integrated by McLeod Software. PC*Miler 24 and PC*Miler/Tolls 24 include map data updates such as truck restrictions and truck-specific toll costs. Also covered by the certification is ALK’s street-level routing, multi-version switch and hazmat routing solutions.

PC*Miler 24 will be integrated into McLeod’s LoadMaster X and PowerBroker applications, version 7.5 and later. McLeod’s iLens freight procurement, load execution and spot market product line will also interface with PC*Miler Web Services.

“We are especially pleased with McLeod’s timely testing and integration of PC*Miler 24,” said Bill Hnatiuk, strategic alliance manager - PC*Miler Solutions. “PC*Miler truck specific data, integrated with McLeod Software products offer customers a competitive advantage, operational efficiencies, and cost savings.”

PC*Miler reduces out-of-route mileage, saving time, tolls, and fuel, and it’s map data update includes 627,000 new and updated North American truck restrictions and 21,700 miles of new and updated truck-restricted roadway, according to the company.

New features and enhancements include least cost routing to generate optimal routes based on custom fuel efficiency and operating cost settings; greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions estimator that calculates carbon footprint per route; and comparison reports that analyze multiple routes, or the effect of different routing options on the same route.
