The new generation of Terion's untethered asset tracking unit is now available for refrigerated trailers. The FleetView 3R exceeds SAE standards for harsh environments and can be installed inside the refrigerated area, according to Terion.
Like other FleetView 3 models, the new reefer tracking unit uses both digital CDMA and analog circuit switched wireless communications for maximum wireless coverage. It supports over-the-air upgrades and a variety of sensors.
Terion has also announced that Mark Palmer has joined the company as vp of business development. Formerly director of trailer operations for J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Palmer had the prime responsibility for installing the Terion system in over 20,000 of the fleet's trailers.
