A custom training enhancement program for Wal-Mart’s 1,300-plus trucking technicians will offer bilingual instruction on theory, application and diagnosis. Developed by Delmar -- part of Cengage Learning -- the program will be rolled out this fall.

After an initial pre-assessment of each technician’s strengths and weaknesses, training programs will be offered either as instructor-led or through the Internet. Programs will include up-to-date content, graphics, animations and section review questions, Delmar said.

The program will conclude with a post-assessment course that will track learning and measure improvement.
