Contract carrier TransAm Trucking will equip its fleet of 1,000 tractors with the MobileMax MultiMode wireless communications system from Geologic Solutions. TransAm, which had been using an older generation of the system, will use the new system to automate billing, payroll, fuel tax and maintenance reporting, and arrival/departure notification, according to the Kansas City-based fleet.
