A new lower-cost version of the TND 760 onboard management system offers on-board electronic hours of service and vehicle inspection reporting for $649 plus $19.95/mo. for service, according to Rand McNally. A fully featured version of the TND 760 loaded with Rand McNally navigation continues to be offered for $799.
In addition to the EOBR service plan, which Rand McNally says is fully compliant with Federal EOBR requirements, the company offers a $29.95/mo. basic plan that includes vehicle positioning and online mapping, text and form messages, driver email with attachments and integration over Rand McNally Connect. For $39.95/mo., an enterprise plan adds driver, vehicle performance, critical event and maintenance reporting. All three plans require a three-year commitment, according to the company.
Rand McNally said it is also extending warranty coverage for all TND 760 hardware to three years.
New features scheduled to roll out next month include a mapping portal with upgraded geofencing, alerts and route replay as part of its basic and enterprise monthly plans, the company has announced. The ability to send and receive IntelliRoute routes over the TND 760 is also under development, according to Rand McNally.
