PowerVue integrated with CoPilot Truck 9

June 25, 2012

Cadec Global announced that its PowerVue software has been integrated with ALK Technologies’ CoPilot Truck 9 software. The integration means that users of PowerVue can get over-the-air (OTA) map updates and seamless delivery of turn-by-turn directions to Cadec’s onboard computer (OBC).

CoPilot Truck’s on-board, voice-guided GPS navigation solution stores detailed ALK Maps of North America enhanced with PC*Miler truck-specific routing. This information will now be available on the Cadec OBC.

The integration will also allow drivers the ability to favor certain roads and locations; find the best sequence for up to 50 stops to reduce out-of-route mileage; offers fast automatic route recalculation; access to over 7 million points of interest with phone numbers, including truckstops, truck services, rest areas, weigh stations and CAT Scales; and a non-distracting driver safety view along with flexible and clear 2D and 3D map views.

“We’ve worked closely with ALK Technologies for several years,” said Jon Bernstein, CEO of Cadec. “Cadec is very proud to be the first enterprise-class fleet management solution provider to integrate and deploy with the latest version of ALK’s in-cab navigation solution.  Driver efficiency, safety, compliance and overall fleet performance are the top priorities for our customers. CoPilot Truck 9 integrated with our PowerVue solution helps fleets meet these goals, and we will continue to integrate the latest technologies from our partners into PowerVue.”
