Fleet adopts Spireon trailer tracking

Sept. 17, 2012

Tutle & Tutle Trucking has adopted the FleetLocate trailer tracking solution from Spireon. Tutle & Tutle operates a mix of pneumatic sand, lime and cement trailers, tankers, flatbeds and belly dump trailers.

Using FleetLocate, the company will be able to capture and leverage business intelligence to save costs, improve customer service and make faster, more profitable business decisions, Spireon said.

FleetLocate’s real-time trailer visibility enables fleets to see which trailers are underutilized, and helps identify where there’s a real need for more trailers.  FleetLocate’s rich data also allows transportation companies to reduce their overall trailer count while maintaining the same amount of workload.

“The ability for operations personnel to see their trailers at all times is one of the big reasons we decided to invest in trailer tracking,” said Brian Gannon, project manager, Tutle & Tutle Trucking. “Knowing that FleetLocate could integrate its rich data into McLeod’s LoadMaster dispatch system was just one more added benefit for us.”
