Kerry Foods implements Blue Tree’s Temperature Probe

Nov. 6, 2012

Food ingredient and flavor products manufacturer Kerry Foods is installing Blue Tree Systems’ Temperature Probe into its operation. The Temperature Probe continuously monitors cargo temperatures.

The product is a tapered steel probe that delivers quick verification of cargo temperatures, Blue Tree said. The Probe has colored cables to easily locate in poor visibility conditions and is 11 ft. in length to ensure a variety of flexible placement options. It is made of high-grade materials for application in harsh-use conditions, and is engineered to withstand cutting and abrasion, in addition to a high resistance to oil, extreme temperatures and high voltage.

“In-transit monitoring of precise product temperatures and not just overall trailer temperatures is becoming increasingly in demand,” said Charlie Cahill, CEO of Blue Tree Systems. A challenge for fleets in the past has been finding a product probe that combines the level of ruggedness, precision, and affordability that is necessary, Blue Tree said.

Kerry supplies over 15,000 food, food ingredients and flavor products to customers in more than 140 countries worldwide. The Group has manufacturing facilities in 25 different countries and international sales offices in 20 other countries.
