Help Inc., the nonprofit provider of PrePass and 360SmarView solutions, recently elected two trucking association executives to leadership positions.
Don Schaefer, executive vice president of the Mid-West Truckers Assn. was elected vice chairman of Help. As vice chairman, Schaefer will assume Help’s chairmanship in August 2013.
John D. Esparza, president & CEO of the Texas Motor Transportation Assn., was elected to serve as a member at large on the Help Executive Committee.
"The election of Schaefer and Esparza will strengthen our association and bolster the understanding of the industry among our volunteer leadership,” said Jim Poe, chairman of Help Inc.
Help, Inc. is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to advancing the safety and efficiency of the transportation industry.
Help offers weigh-in-motion technologies, including PrePass, an advanced Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) technology that enables qualified motor carriers to electronically comply with state safety, weight, and credential requirements enabling their vehicles to “bypass” PrePass-equipped weigh stations.
Help’s latest technology-- 360SmartView-- is an integrated data solution that provides State agencies with targeted, secure data on all trucks passing through inspection facilities for highway planning, audit and enforcement purposes.
