Fleet operators who would appreciate some support when it comes to identifying the best GPS fleet management solutions for their particular operation have a new resource available. C.J. Driscoll & Associates just released its 2013 Fleet Operator’s Guide to GPS Fleet Management Systems, which was developed to do just that.
The 241-page report profiles over 120 mobile resource management (MRM) solution providers, including suppliers of vehicle-installed GPS fleet management systems, handset or tablet-based systems and systems for monitoring assets, such as trailers and containers.
Profiled companies include suppliers targeting local service and delivery fleets; private and common carrier trucking fleets; and vertical markets such as school bus, taxi, public transit and para-transit, waste disposal, oil and gas, government and public safety. The profiles cover company background, key contacts, target markets, core features, distribution, installed base, key customers and available hardware and service pricing information.
The research is based on both primary and secondary methodologies, including over 100 interviews of executives of leading MRM solution providers and other companies servicing the MRM industry. Clement J. Driscoll, founder and president of C.J. Driscoll & Associates, directed the study.
According to Driscoll, the new study draws from the company’s 2012-13 Mobile Resource Management Systems Market Study released in August 2012. “We do our Mobile Resource Management Systems report every year and people have said that we should do a version for fleet operators,” Driscoll told Fleet Owner.“That is what this is. For the most part, it is a subset of the annual report with numerous updates. The larger report includes lots of data useful to companies within the mobile communications industry, but not really relevant to fleets trying to make good decisions for their own operations.”
Companies interested in pricing information or more details about the report are invited to contact C.J. Driscoll & Associates.
