Cadec Global has upgraded its DeliveryTracker solution for operation on the PowerVue platform. DeliveryTracker is a mobile proof-of-delivery solution first launched in 2009 to run on Cadec’s Mobius platform.

The announcement was made this week at the NPTC 2013 Education Management Conference & Exhibition.

The solution consists of software that runs on rugged, mobile handheld units that drivers can take out of the cab in order to scan product and capture signatures at the point of delivery. Data from the handheld is synced with the Cadec Onboard Computer (OBC) in real time and signed invoices can be printed on an optional mobile printer, the company said. Details such as over, short and damaged stock; other inventory changes; electronic signatures; and even copies of invoices are sent back from the OBC to the office for integration with billing, inventory and ERP systems, creating a paperless delivery environment with no single point of failure.

According to Cadec, benefits of DeliveryTracker include:

    • Increased productivity that maximizes driver productivity, allows for more and faster deliveries with fewer mistakes.
    •  Better inventory control which includes barcode scanning to ensure that the correct products and quantities are delivered at each delivery site.
    • Eliminates paper and improves records keeping by automatically keeping delivery and accounting records current, eliminating the need for paper notes or invoices.
    • Streamlines invoices and accelerates cash flow since proof-of-delivery is conveyed in real time so invoices can be generated on the spot.

“DeliveryTracker is an important element of our promise to extend a company’s supply-chain management efforts all the way to the point of delivery,” said Pete Allen, CEO of Cadec.  “Moving DeliveryTracker into our SaaS environment was a major engineering accomplishment and a big milestone in the evolution of PowerVue. We’re very proud of the outcome.”
