Cadec adds to management team

Jan. 24, 2014

Cadec Global has added two industry veterans to its senior management team. Eric Witty has joined as vice president-product management, and Brent Goldstein has come onboard as vice president-software engineering.

Each has more than 20 years of industry experience.

Witty will be in charge of developing innovative, market-driven products and services for Cadec’s private-fleet customers. He was most recently at Qualcomm, where he led the company’s DOT hours-of-service team. Prior to Qualcomm, Witty held product marketing and engineering role at XRS/Xata. He has deep experience in HOS, CSA, IFTA and the rule-making process, plus SaaS, mobility, handheld applications and supply-chain workflow, Cadec said.

“Cadec’s PowerVue platform has all the right fundamentals – its architecture is perfectly suited for the modern private fleet – and that’s what attracted me to Cadec,” said Witty. “By focusing on private fleets we’re uniquely positioned to extend our open and flexible environment with new features and products that close competitive gaps and meet new and exciting market trends.”

Goldstein is responsible for ensuring that the Cadec engineering team delivers high-quality software products and compiling a set of best practices for improving software development productivity. He spent nearly 20 years at Motorola Mobility in a series of technical and management positions, and most recently held executive-level software engineering management positions at ACI  Worldwide Payment Systems and Direct Capital.

“Combining my professional expertise and ability to quickly analyze customers’ needs, I look forward to working with the Cadec team to develop high-quality SaaS-based products that provide our customers with reliable functionality for their unique environments,” said Goldstein. “I’ll continue to look for new ways to improve our software engineering processes and operational efficiencies to give customers the right product at the right time."
