J.J. Keller offers compliance manual

Feb. 19, 2014

To assist fleets in their efforts to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), J.J. Keller & Associates is offering a new FMCSA Compliance Manual.

The manual represents a re-launch of the company’s Fleet Safety Compliance Manual, which has guided fleet professionals for 35 years, the company said. The manual is completely redesigned and reorganized to make compliance even easier. In the new manual, each of the tab-divided sections puts the applicable word-for-word regulations, how-to-comply explanations, and DOT’s official interpretations for a specific safety topic all in one spot.

“With the Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) enforcement program, fleets are realizing the benefits of making sure their trucks and drivers are in compliance,” said Betty Weiland, senior editorial manager of transportation content at J. J. Keller. “The FMCSA Compliance Manual provides how-to-comply explanations of the regulations to help transport professionals understand what they need to do to maintain compliance and operate safely.”

Key topics covered in the manual include hours of service, driver qualification, vehicle inspection and maintenance, and commercial driver’s license requirements. The manual is intended for anyone managing or operating one or more commercial motor vehicles — which can be anything from a large pickup truck to a delivery van to a tractor-trailer.

The FMCSA Compliance Manual is available with a 1-year update service and online edition for only $249 by calling 800-327-6868 or visiting jjkeller.com/103552.
